Quick update : Over 40 Chairs and Vice-Chairs attended what proved to be a well liked and commended evening. Traffic delays to a speaker?meant the agenda was? reversed and the presentation from member Alistair Thomas Fairer Funding – A strategy for WAG -21Mar2013?provoked much debate , subsequently agenda item 2 has been carried over to another event. Comments from the attendees ranged from ‘I never knew it was so complicated’ to ‘ are we tilting at windmills’. Consensus from the floor was that WAG should send its formal response to the consultation.? Governors asked for copies of the presentation for their own use and by clicking the link above you can download it.
WAG’s formal response?will be forwarded and copied to Worcs MP’s as suggested by attendees.
The last 45 minutes of open debate raised issues concerning , Ofsted School Dashboard, NCL and Leadership training, Why were Edgehill chosen by the LA? Future interaction with the LA and the WSF. Why Academise when soft federation appears to work? Does the ‘social welfare tail wag the Education dog?
